What is the warranty on your products?
Dagendor warrants that each new Dagendor product is free from any defects in material and workmanship, subject to terms and conditions. If any defective part should be found in a Dagendor product within the first year, it shall be replaced at no cost to the customer when Dagendor acknowledges that such defects are attributable to faulty materials or workmanship at the time of production.

Do your products require any maintenance?
Dagendor offers long-lasting, high-quality, trouble-free products. To achieve the highest level of quality in the industry, every part is submitted to our total quality control program. Suppliers and materials must meet stringent Dagendor requirements. All components are inspected at each stage of production, from receiving to shipping. The result of our effort is a product requiring no maintenance.

Sliding grilles |
Is there a floor track?
No. Closure shall be suspended from the extruded aluminium top track by steel or aluminium rods connected to molded nylon-tired ball bearing roller assemblies. Ceiling track is 1 3/8’’ (35 mm) wide by 1 1/2’’ (38 mm) high. Please refer to the technical data for drawing.

What kind of structural support do I need?
The structural support must be a continuous wood or steel header capable of supporting the weight of the grille in the stacking area. Please refer to the technical data for an example of a structural support.

How heavy is the grille?
Each grille model has a different weight per square foot. Please refer to the technical data to find out the exact weight of your curtain.

Is the storage pocket included with the curtain?

What size should the storage pocket be?
Depth of pocket should reflect the amount of stacking of the grille. The minimum stacking is calculated as follows: 1 1/4" (32mm) per linear foot of closure + 3 1/4" (83mm) for each vertical member nos. 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 7 1/2" (190mm) for nos. 3 and 4. Width of pocket should be a minimum of 9", with track on center.

Can the sliding grilles be motorized?
No. Motors are neither recommended nor necessary for sliding grilles.

Yes. Following Dagendor's installation instructions, you should have no problems installing our products.

What is the life expectancy of your sliding grille?
A very, very, very long time. You can expect your grille to last for more than twenty years if used in the right conditions. You will probably replace your storefront due to renovations and/or moving before you need to replace your grille.

No. Rolling grilles are not equipped with an emergency exit.

Is an access trap required to service the unit?
An access trap of 30’’ (76,2 mm) x 30’’ (76,2 mm) minimum needs to be provided in the motor area to enable future service to the unit if needed.

When do you recommend motorizing a rolling grille?
We recommend that you equip your rolling grilles with a motor for all doors over 15’0’’ ( 4,57 m) wide and/or when the square footage is more than 120 (11,15 sq.m.).

What happens in the case of a power failure if a rolling grille is motorized?
All of our motorized rolling grilles are equipped with an emergency release mechanism either wall-mounted or at the electric operator.

Can we install a rolling grille ourselves?
We strongly advise against it. The installation of a rolling grille should be done by a professional installer and/or a Dagendor-approved technician.
